Or you can use the approximate rule of ten city blocks equal one mile, to measure different walking routes. After all, you don’t want to walk the same route every day. Two miles per fitness walking course is a good start, or you can start with just one mile if you are a beginner. Working your way up to the preferred two miles per fitness walking course. You can add more miles as you progress.
Managing your blood-pressure
People with high blood pressure can benefit from aerobic exercise. A 45-minute run or power walk can lower blood pressure for up to 24 hours. If you can’t go as long as 45 minutes, start with what you can do and increase the time gradually. Other aerobic exercise can also help blood pressure as well as overall fitness. Choose what you enjoy. New research shows that strength training also helps control blood pressure.
