About Genet Lao Loo
Genet Lao Loo says her “passion for medicine” was awakened while watching her physician parents teach students and lead conferences. “My favorite part of my profession is the relationship I build with my patients,” she says. She believes the best way to communicate and connect with patients is to “actively listen” to the patients before speaking. “I always aim to make my patients feel comfortable. I listen to their concerns, respect their cultural believes and wishes, and provide emotional support for each one of them,” she explains. She especially enjoys acting as a guide for her senior patients.
In her free time, Genet Lao Loo enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling with her family and friends.
